This weekend, Saxon will be seven months old. The most-oft heard comment by this new parent is some variation of “enjoy ‘em, they grow up really fast.” We also heard from quite a few people, “enjoy her now, because she’ll be a teenager some day and hate you.” The even more pessimistic (or realistic?) advisor has said, “enjoy her while she’s a baby because she will be two soon.”
Well, I can only attest to the truth of Saxon growing up fast. So you can see how fast, I thought I’d post some very current photographs (taken jump ahead to photographs of Saxon taken yesterday and on Saturday).

hanging out with dad, Saxon is oh-so curious.

Some photographs, taken 3.3.07, of Carey feeding Saxon one of her favorite foods - peas (organic, of course!). We’re putting our pressure cooker we received as a wedding gift to good use fast-cooking carrots, sweet potatoes & peas. Lots of yummy nutritious veggies that have no preservatives and have to taste better than the meals-in-da-jar.

Great post! I’m thankful to be a mother of a healthy happy 12 month old. I’m thankful to be pregnant with a healthy 19 week old baby boy. I’m thankful that I’ve been able to be a stay at home mom this past year. I’m thankful for my own health, for being born into this country, for the freedoms I often take for granted, for our troops serving abroad, the list goes on…

I know this is a late post but I was just reminded of something that I am most grateful for this past week….After spending a hectic Thanksgiving weekend home with 13 people(at least 4 of whom were sick and spreading sickness to all) and two dogs under one roof; I couldn’t help but thank our amazing Lord every minute of it for such a wonderful family. With all of our idiosyncrasies (which is putting it politely)and unexpected mood swings, my family is full of life, laughter and love. I also realized that despite the fact that we can be hard on each other at times, there is a lifetime’s worth of support when you fold back the curtain. I couldn’t be more blessed. Thank you Lord for giving me 13 more reasons to be thankful.
