I know all too well what ya'll are going through! Cassidy has had major ear problems since she was a baby. In July, we had her 7th set of tubes inserted! She just can't function without them! This last time (before the 7th set), her eardrums retracted so severely from the fluid that the ENT warned us of "cholesteatomas" which could form. Cass was in surgery in less than a week! (And to accomodate surgery in a week at Texas Children's Hospital speaks of her doctor's concern!) Anyway, she was sick earlier this week (with a sinus infection), and the pediatrician told us she had already "blown" a tube! So, ... back to the ENT. They're talking about reinforcing the eardrum so it can actually keep a tube in place. Scarey!!!! We'll definitely pray for little Samantha, but please keep Cass in your prayers, as well! Ear problems are real bummers!

Oh goodness! Good luck on the surgery! It will help her so much--makes a huge difference. Good decision. And good luck!
