Kids + Toilet Paper = Fun
6.24.07, Saxon 10.5 months old. Having just discovered the wonderful world of toilet paper, Saxon made a bee-line toward the open door of the powder room. In just a few minutes, she has taken all magazines out of the trash and only then remembered — aha - that crazy paper on the wall!

My own private water source
3.1.2007, Saxon 6 months old. I was strongly encouraged to NOT publish these photos. If you have a weak stomach, you might want to look away. Yes, that’s Saxon having a little drink, “doggie style,” from Ranger’s water bowl - a constant source of fun. Many parents would grab their child to save them from all those wretched doggie germs. But I grabbed my camera. Who can blame me. Besides, look how proud Saxon was to have reached the much-desired milestone of “baby drinks water.”

Saxon’s interest in Ranger’s only source of H20 in the house has not waned. Although she now, thankfully, chooses to drink from her own cups, great pleasure is found in water testing a variety of items, including, but not limited to: cell phones, her blankie (usually just before she is going to take a nap); stuffed animals, baby doll, her sleeves and even her toes.

Saxon wearing her big girl jeans with mom
7.15.07 - 11 months. Darn these kids sure grow quickly. Here’s Saxon with one of our favorite outfits - the top, dahling, was so adorable! No longer does it fit.

Future Top Chef in Training
6.16.07 10 months. Carey making some guacamole while Saxon assists. Well, right now, Saxon is taking a break from all the prep work and is hanging out with Mom - kangaroo style - and snacking on a peach.

Today’s Saxon
10.23.2007, Saxon 14 months. When Carey was in Seattle last week, Saxon and I took advantage of a beautiful fall day with yummy autumn light. I’ll post some more of these photos, but wanted to share this one so you can see how much she’s changed, even recently.
