Leaving Colorado, we encountered the beginning of their 2nd big snowstorm of 2006, which delayed our departure from Denver. Some photos of the drive to Denver.

yes, this is an Interstate Highway (I-70) and not a county road.

lots of wrecks. this was a ten car pileup.

doh.

slow driving.

4WD suburban stuck in median, plowing in background

see the red flags? put there just in case the majority of the car is covered by snow.

Chris & Carey: She didn’t get in trouble, did she? It looks like she was a little encouraged and not chastised. That’s okay. She will learn to be VERY careful after she tumbles down a time or two. My kids grew up in a two story house and they learned. No serious injuries. Just lots of scares. At least your stairs are carpeted. I love you three, Aunt Kay

Just adorable! Now you have to show her how to scoot down the stairs backwards to get down! That’s a pretty fancy rug on the stairs! It looks like you guys have a nice house!

We’ve already taught her to turn around and go down “feet first.” We were really impressed with how fast she got the concept.
