I’m excited that six of my photographs are included in a show at a contemporary art gallery in Austin. The Volitant Gallery is presenting a group exhibition called “Tunnel Vision: Parading Down the Aisle,” which is a “collection of photography that confronts the viewer with images that are not your obvious depiction of wedding bells and bliss, but more an observation of how the concept of matrimony has evolved through the span of time.” You can read more about the show at the Volitant Gallery’s website.
The Volitant Gallery is hosting an opening reception Friday, May 4, 2007 from 6-9 pm and the show runs from May 4 - June 16, 2007. So, if you happen to be in Austin, stop by the opening reception and have a glass of bubbly on me and talk about how cool I am and tell everyone that you knew me when…
Unfortunately, I won’t be able to join you there since I’m in New Orleans to photograph the wedding of a reality TV star (Elizabeth, a finalist on CBS’ The Cut an apprentice-like show featuring designer Tommy Hilfiger as the boss). Elizabeth’s pals Lindsay and Paris won’t be coming due to scheduling conflicts.
But don’t let that stop you from stopping by to purchase a Chris Moseley original at a bargain basement price! Plus, if you buy one, they’ll put one of those cute little pins beside the print to show how many have been sold.
Here are a few of the photographs that will be in the show:

“Grandfather’s Dance” - many of you may recognize this photograph - or at least the subjects. It’s Carey dancing with her grandfather “Papa” at our wedding.
