Ranger has been quite fascinated with Saxon since day one. Ranger loves to give Saxon “kisses,” which are sloppy licks on Saxon’s hands, ears and face. The admiration is mutual. Saxon coos whenever she spots Ranger. Lately, Saxon really admires Ranger and wants to give some love back by petting him. Well, petting him is a term I would use loosely, since Saxon really just wants to grab a handful of Ranger’s fur, something to which he kindly objects.

I’ll take 68 degrees and sunny on the first day of March! Carey is in Hilton Head, SC where the weather is showing 62 degrees and “smoke.” Smoke? Well, OK…

Last month, on what was may have been the coldest day of the year - and definitely the most icy, our nanny took a snow day. By mid-afternoon, Saxon had cabin fever (OK, it was me) so we bundled her up in the bug so Ranger and I could take her for a walk.

How cold was it that day? The water from the puddles Ranger found had turned to ice on the backs of his legs! Saxon didn’t seem troubled, as seen in this photo. Click the photo to see more.
